4. Instructions to register CMpro with QuickBooks to upload
your Accounts Receivable transactions.
In order for CMpro™ to extract/update data against QuickBooks, the
application must be allowed to run.
This information is kept on the company's preferences under
“Integrated Application”. CMpro™ must be run once before it appears on the
list.
The first
time CMpro™ runs, QuickBooks® must be running. QuickBooks will issue a prompt to the user when the application
runs which will ask if they want to allow this application to proceed. There are several options that the user
can select. To ensure that CMpro™ is
able to gather the necessary data to provide AR management and funding
services, select the option “Always allow the application to run”.

The
process will ask you to confirm that you want to do this. Click ‘Yes’.

Once the application completes,
the application name will appear in the Integrated Application preferences
screen.
To allow the application to run
even if QuickBooks is not running, we will need to manually update the
properties for this application.
Under properties (in the Integrated
Application preferences), we check off the box "Allow the application to
login Automatically". This will
allow our application to run without starting QuickBooks. And if QuickBooks is running, our
application will still be able to run under normal situations.
From
the QuickBooks menu:
- a) Select ‘Company’ from the navigation bar to the left
of the QuickBooks screen,
select ‘Preferences’ in the Company
navigation page. This will open a
‘Preferences’ window and choose the ‘Company Preferences’ tab at the top of
that window.
Select ‘Integrated Applications’ from the
navigation bar on the left side of the Preferences navigation window. This will display two folders: ‘My Preferences’ and ‘Company Preferences’. Click on the ‘Company Preferences’
folder. CMpro™ should be one of the
application names listed.

- b) Click on the CMpro™
application to highlight it and the ‘Properties’ button to the
right. This will open the
Properties window.

- c) If the ‘Allow this
application to access the company file’ check box is not checked, check
it now.
- d) Click the ‘Allow this
application to login automatically’.
- e) Click ‘Ok’ to close and
save the settings in the Properties window.
- f) Click ‘Ok’ to close and
save the settings in the Preferences window.
- g) CMpro™ is now registered
to run with QuickBooks and will not require QuickBooks be running when
executing the application.
